Network

The network is a set of computers connected by cables so that one computer with other computers can communicate to each other, exchanging information sharing files, printers, etc..

The network is divided into 2 1. Standalone
2. Network

Type - Type of Network Based Coverage

1. Local Area Networking (LAN)
A network that is limited by a relatively small area, generally bounded by the area like an office environment in a building, or a school, and usually not far from about 1 km square.

2. Metropolitan Area Networking (MAN)
That is a broader network of LAN, MAN usually covers a larger area such as areas of provincial, inter-building. MAN Why was said to be more extensive than LAN?, Well, because the MAN network is linked from several LAN networks that are connected via the switch again.

3. Wide Area Networking (WAN)
A network that is already used in scope usually means satellite or submarine cable as an example of the whole network BANK BNI in Indonesia or in other countries. Using the WAN facilities, a bank in Bandung can contact its branch offices in Hong Kong, just a few minutes. WAN usually rather complicated and very complex, using many means to connect between LAN and WAN to the Global Communications such as the Internet.

Network Topology

Network topology is the structure or form of network.

Type - type of network topology

a. Ring Topology
Ring topology is the topology is connected to the two land card. So sending the data in the form of clockwise and anticlockwise. Thus, data transmissions are often not up to the destination computer because it must pass through another computer first.

b. Star Topology
Star topology is the topology that uses a switch as a connection between the cable network. Thus, this topology is more often used than the topology that because the cost is cheaper and faster data trasfer. Because switching the speed governing data.

c. Bus Topology

Bus topology is the topology of thinking about a cable that connects to the server so the computer who wants to get into a bus topology must connect the cable to the cable BNC BNCnya server. Because of this topology using a BNC cable.

d. Mesh Topology .M

e. Tree Topology
